The Bison Build It Back Project is dedicated to bringing the "old school" traditions back from the brink of no-man's land. The Present Day has no tradition. Period. It is a mix of simply ... "do whatever you like ... for whatever reason." We dismiss this approach to living and believe it breeds disaster because there is no direction. Therefore, its time to make a push to bring back some of the "once ways." Not all of them, because not all of them were good. But some of them? Yep! This is what this project is about. you are welcome to assist!
Why is the Bison Build It Back Project focused on bringing back the Old School? Well, first of all, it is primarily because the project believes that everything that matters to people runs "downstream" from culture. Culture is First. Culture is King. Therefore, in order to address problems that are persisting through the masses, the solution needs to be cultural.
It is important to address cultural challenges because it is too late to fix them once they evolve in to a safety problem. Once these problems become large enough, they attract our enemies of the United States. And if our enemies fan the flames our own problems, well enough, then they can set up a toxic dynamic inside of our country. Once they do that, they can wage war against us while at the same time denying it. They can tear the country down, and then ... invade with ease ... without worrying about a single person fighting them once they get here.
Read below for a detailed articulation of ways to address long-standing problematic cultural challenges that have persisted in the United States.
The "Bison" is a fictitious Hero dedicated to protecting all things that are good and positive in the United States, by addressing the countries most pressing issues, head on. The Bison's goal is to reduce National Security concerns by addressing Cultural Challenges. The goal is to fix the problem. He wants to fix the problem by taking an aggressive stance on raising awareness. How do we all help? Well, first of all, we acknowledge that everything that matters to people runs "downstream" from culture. Culture is first. Culture is King. Therefore, in order to bring awareness of problems to the masses, the message used needs to be cultural.

Old School Dating had "Best Practices." Old School Dating had a lot of Best Practices. And because the "train" has fallen so far "off the tracks" when it comes to dating ... it would be wise to re-instate some or all of how dating used to be. For example, the "Best Practice" steps in this section can be summarized as:
1. Start Out in Person.
2. Have a Two Month Waiting Period.
3. Practice Companionship.
4. Pick a Dating Approach.
5. Have a Conversation.
6. Date Exclusively.
Having said this, below are more detailed descriptions of these steps with easy to understand descriptions and explanations that anyone could use to implement a "Safe Dating" regimen in their personal life.
Read on ... and enjoy the read.

Old School Dating started in person. Nowadays, people meet on a dating app and don't even know if the picture they are looking at is real. Dating needs to get back to its roots. People meeting on a Dating App should spend only a little time exchanging texts. They should quickly meet up at a local Starbucks, say hello, have some conversation, each pay for their own coffee, say goodbye and leave. Then, only after this meeting should they start up with the dating process.

Back in the day, people spent time hanging out together, going for bike rides, meeting up for a movie, or having dinner. And, when this happened, the first few dates were simply to have a conversation and get to know the other person. For this reason, there is really no good reason for the man to be pursuing intimacy. There is also no good reason for the woman to pursue financial subsidies. In other words, for the first two months, all interactions should be platonic, and both parties should pay for their own meals.

Another option during the Two Month Waiting Period is for neither of the participants to pay for anything. No one pays for meals. Let the dates occur somewhere out in public. Chat. Spend time together. Get to know each other. And get something to eat before or after the date.
This approach ensures that the man the is not attempting to wine and dine on the first date in the hopes of getting intimacy out of the deal on the first date. Also, this ensures that the woman is not going on the date simply to get free food when she doesn't really like the person she is going to meet.
This approach protects both parties from less-than-ideal intentions.
Furthermore, it also protects both parties from one of the participants trying to obtain a free place to live. Or, someone trying to find another person to pay a past due bill. Two months is enough time for someone to give up trying to get some kind of financial or sexual benefit out of the deal. This is one reason the two months time period is important.
(Note: This approach would work best if coupled with the ideas laid out in the "Bring Back the Old School Family" idea discussed in the next section ... below.)

During the Two Month Waiting Period, the man and the woman should practice "being companions." Specifically, they should go out together and spend enough time to fall in to a dating pattern. This involves deciding which mode of "being" each person wants.

Each person should pick an approach to the potential relationship. According the sociology book, "The Second Shift" ... a man or a woman can either be (1) traditional, (2) contemporary, or (3) modern. There is a choice, but people should know that some combinations don't work out very well while others do. Refer to the easy-to-read bestselling book below by author's Arlie Hochschild and Anne Machung:
Book: The Second Shift
P.S. For those of you who are interested in a traditional approach to dating ... here is a link to a Pastor in Maryland who discusses this approach:
Let Me Take Out The Trash - Pastor Stephen Chandler, Union Church:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXhD-klmTRM

At some point during the third month of the courtship, the newly dating couple should sit down and have a conversation. By this point in the process, the man should have taken the woman out on several different occasions; and paid for nothing. At this point, the woman should have made herself available for these outings; taking care of her own bill ... no sex.
Now the time comes for each of them to decide if they are going to continue. If the decision is made to continue ... a decision should also be made to cease contact with other prospects and focus singularly on one another.
If they both decide that they will continue ... this should signal the start of a full relationship in the traditional sense of the word. This means that the relationship approach each one has chosen goes in to effect. In the words, the man and the woman have chosen to move forward either as a (1) traditional, (2) contemporary, or (3) modern person in the relationship.

Once the decision has been made to date exclusively, the next step is to actually have an exclusive date! And what better way to do that then to give God the glory? The first exclusive date should be at Church. No exceptions. Take her to Church, fellas ... and LEAVE right afterwards. The first date needs to be Church ... not Church ... and then a whole bunch of other stuff later that day. Go home!

The second exclusive date should be the woman's reward. On this date, the man should take the woman out to a nice dinner. And ... for this date ... (in our opinion) ... the man should make the plans and pay for the entire evening. Why? First, because she earned it. She invested her time in getting to know the man and then agreeing to start dating him, exclusively. A complete and enjoyable "paid for" date night should be her reward. Remember ... Ladies First.

This date should involving COOKING. Why? To separate the little girls from the women and to separate the little boys from the men. And should this occur at the man's house or the woman's house? Heck no! That is not safe!
Option 1:
This date could occur in a commercial kitchen facility or some other "third party" location. For example, the dating pair could rent out a conference room from one of those "temporary office" companies. They could pay someone who has an account there who could reserve the room for them and supervise the date.
The "temporary office" account holder could bring the following in to the office room: (1) two electric hot plates, (2) portable small oven, (3) George Foreman Grill, and a (3) portable ice maker. The account holder would explain each piece of equipment and what its use. Then, the couple could bring their food and cook together for their date.
Option 2:
Another option is to rent out a "movie spot." This is a place where they could rent a movie room by the hour and then bring their own DVD to watch (or use one provided by the venue). The venue would intentionally not have food for sale. Instead, the cost of the room would include a few helpings of soda and snacks.
As in Option 1, the venue could provide (1) two electric hot plates, (2) portable small oven, (3) George Foreman Grill, and a (3) portable ice maker to the pair to use to cook themselves a meal with their own food.

The Point
The point here is to (1) have two people cook together, (2) have two people work as a team, and (3) have two people eat a rewarding meal together. Once this is done, it will demonstrate that both parties are willing to cook and behave. This is extremely important.
The Reason
Figuring out whether the person you are starting to date can cook or is willing to be present and help you with the cooking (or let you teach him or her how to cook, if they don't know how to cook, yet) is extremely important. It is important because it shows a willingness in both people to prioritize long-term financial responsibility over convenience.
The Benefit
Cooking is a sure-fire way to keep the cost of living low. Therefore there is always a benefit to knowing how to cook.
It doesn't matter how much money someone makes ... cooking lowers the cost of living.
Can you afford to go out for dinner all the time and not cook? Yes? So ... should you avoid cooking? No! It is a poor financial decision to waste money on excessive meals outside of the home. COOK! (Or learn how to cook.) Then take your extra money and invest it.

If two people can make it this far... that is certainly saying something! At this point, each person in the relationship should know the other one's capabilities. At this point, the relationship should enter a "Freeform" phase where by it continues on whatever path ends up occurring as a part of an exclusive relationship. You made it this far? Congratulations! Your relationship is now a blank canvas. Paint your masterpiece!
We need to bring back Old School Dating.
The Federal Government would have a severe vested interest in investing in the Old School Wife or Woman embracing feminine responsibilities. This is true because doing so would result in strong families. But ... why should they have to suffer financially for it, just because God created them with the ability to give birth to a child?
Instead of punishing women for having the responsibility to bear a child ... and punishing men for wanting to help teach and lead a child once he or she becomes a young adult, the Federal Government should step in and lead the effort to promote a healthy family.
How? Encourage our women to get back to their "Software Girl Era". And give them a financial benefit for it, to show them that they are appreciated. Help women get back to their Soft Girl Era.
Ari Lennox - Soft Girl Era (Official Music Video):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jd53_HiTRBY

All of us should support the notion of the Federal Government assisting in bringing back the Old School Family Wife or Woman. They should get a permanent subsidy.
Women should be encouraged to tend to the home and their children. And they should be PAID to do it. To place a woman in the house without her own financial means is cruel and unusual punishment ... and is a throwback to the Relationship Dark Ages, when women were marginalized and mistreated by the husbands who had all the financial means.

In this new scenario, however, the woman who is at home would get a complete and independent PAYCHECK with FULL BENEFITS.
A woman's Domestic Pay should start at the age of 25 with a starting pay of $150,000 a year. This should be organized as a Federal Job with Federal Benefits.

Next ... if the woman chooses to date exclusively and register's her boyfriend (or girlfriend) with the government, then the Domestic Paycheck should go up by $50,000 a year, to $200,000. If she breaks up with him, it should go back to $150,000 a year. If she marries him (or someone else) she should get an additional $50,000 a year, for a total of $250,000.
It probably is not a good idea to tie any kind of financial payment to the number of children, simply because some people may abuse this option by intentionally having a bunch of kids. (It is a great idea in concept, but, in practice it would most likely create corruption.)

Having a system in place like this one would take the burden off of the man to ensure his woman's survival. In a modern society where one income doesn't work, and where it has been a destructive dynamic to have woman unable to focus on children which are the future of a society, this approach is a very good idea.
Furthermore, this system would also prevent a man from abusing a woman financially when she's at home, just because she doesn't have her own financial means.

This kind of a system would enable society to handle "Two Birds" with "One Stone." A woman could (1) have her own financial means, and (2) not be forced to be away from her children or be dependent on someone else to tend to their day-to-day needs.
A woman should definitely have her own financial means ... but ... not by having to leave the home to do so. Society should enable her to have her own financial means while at the same time being free to raise her kids, and see to that they grow up to be full productive members of society.

Furthermore, a woman who has her own financial means should also be incentivized to find a man (ideally, the father of her children), hence the extra payment for a relationship or a marriage. Furthermore, a man should be incentivized to be with a woman ... and ensuring that she is self-sufficient already would make her an attractive option for Registered Dating or marriage.

Furthermore, having an already self-sufficient woman would allow the man who dates or marries her to (1) tend to the his personal bills, (2) save for college for the children (marriage), (3) save for the couple's retirement (marriage), and (4) divert some of his disposable income to treating his spouse well with optional spending (dating or marriage).

This kind of a system by way of the self-sufficient woman would enalso able her to maintain her independence and confidence. She would always have funds to (1) pay the house bills where her, her kids, and her mate reside, (2) pay for her own feminine care, and (3) pay for the day-to-day needs of her children.

This kind of a system would also enable a man to maintain his independence and confidence. By relieving some of the financial burden while at the same time financially encouraging the woman find mate, this system still allows the man to have to display his masculinity by linking up with a woman and then using his resources to assit in leading her and her famaily.

This kind of a system would benefit the economy. With fewer women in the workplace, it would leave the door open for more men to find meaningful work. And, with men working, more resources would be available for consumption which would improve conditions in the economy.

This system would benefit the prison incarceration rate. Fewer men would be in jail as a result of the availability of work. Fewer women would also be in jail as a result of their guaranteed financial independence, and as a result of the financial reward tied to their finding a partner.
Side Note:
As of 2025, this idea would only work if an extra step was first taken to divest the private sector of their investments in prisons. There are investors who make money when a lot of people go to jail. So, those investors would have to be bought out of the prison system before they would allow this dynamic to occur. Otherwise, they would viciously fight this kind of idea.

This kind of a system would benefit National Security. First, it would discourage civil unrest because there would be more men and women with a decent financial means. It would also discourage civil unrest by keeping front and center a "clear and present danger" to anyone who may engage in civil unrest. The government could simply cut the payments to a woman who places others in danger or places her country in danger. Furthermore, the government could threaten termination of employment if a man did the same.
Let's not only bring back the Old School Wife or Woman ... let's subsidize her, too.
(Does anyone this that this approach is too expensive? Yes? Ok. Fine. Then let the billionaires donate some of the funding, and publicize who donates, online. Why not let them pitch in and help out the country that enabled them to become rich?)

Original Hip Hop was brought about by the likes of the Sugarhill Gang and continued through pioneers like Run DMC, MC Lyte, Salt 'n Pepa, LL Cool J, and Kook Moe Dee. Not one signal artist in these times ever used a single curse word or called a woman the "B-word" in a song. LL Cool J was in high school and so was Run DMC. Even one of the most notorious rappers of the explicit scene, Ice Cube, went to George Washington Preparatory High School in Los Angeles. Ice Cube also enrolled in the Phoenix Institute of Technology in 1987 and obtained a Diploma in Architectural Drafting. So, original hip hop was not explicit, wasn't explicit, and should not have ever been explicit! Original hip hop artists' did Hip Hop because they enjoyed it, not because it defined them. Original hip hop artists encouraged education and even had education-based backup plans, themselves.

Old School Hip Hop and rap was not about drugs. The songs recorded by famous groups like the Sugar Hill Gang, Teena Marie, or Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam never talked about selling drugs as a way to succeed in the Inner City. These songs sometimes discussed the fact that growing up in a rough part of town was tough, but, they still didn't promote drugs or guns. Back in those days, if there was a fight, it was done with fists. The beef was squashed once somebody got knocked out. Then, both people lived to fight another day ... go to college another day ... raise a family another day. And if they ever saw each other at the next local cookout, all they'd do is say "Hey, can you pass me a hot dog." Every body at the cookout knew what happened, knew who won, knew who lost, and no body said nothin' ... carry on, peeps!

Old School Music had collaborating. There were always videos and concerts where one famous celebrity in the business would appear in another one's performance. There were all kinds of different people who used to come together. Collectively, they would listen to music, dance to music, and play music ... together. That's how things were back in the "day." Just check out these videos below and see for yourself how much fun people used to have without beefing all the time.

Back in the day, when a dance was over, everybody made sure every body else had a ride home. Every body wanted every body else to be safe. Sometimes plans were made for friends to spend the night after the party was over. At some house parties, plans were made ahead of time. For example, you might walk through your neighborhood, knock on your neighbor's door, let them know that you were having a party on this date, and ask if it was OK with them. Additionally, some families would decide to have people sleep over, so that no one had to ride home late at night intoxicated. (In some African countries, people sleep at the party venue until the morning time, to avoid driving home intoxicated.) People watched out for each other, back then. And it showed in how friends and family entertained themselves.

Old School Music was not scripted. None of it was. No one taught the Sugar Hill Gang to rap in an scientifically-constructed well-researched 6 month course with a certificate given out at the end. No! Real music has never worked that way. And many of the "greats" were not professionally trained. Some were, but not all of them. For example, if you watch the documentary for TLC you will learn that none of them had professional training. They even used to start food fights at the studio when they were there recording ... and would upset a lot of people ... while they were turning out hits. None of the real stuff is scripted. And ... some of the best approaches to learning boil down to just a few things you need to know, not a lot of things. Take a look at the video below as an example of how to learn how to play the piano:
4 Simple Chords to Learn the Piano

Old School Hip Hop was constantly evolving. One such innovator is the famous and well-respected veteran entertainer named Doug E. Fresh. Fresh made a name for himself by displaying a "beat boxing" technique with his lip's that mesmerized millions listening to his songs. Fresh is an icon in the music business.
Per Wikipedia, he became acquainted with rapping from his brother bringing tapes of Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five into the house. Some locals who lived on his block were making Hip Hop in the basement of a local store ... playing on a turntable and experimenting with the echo chamber. It was there that Fresh started up his rap journey. He was a fan rhymes and poetry, and an even bigger fan of the famous poet, Langston Hughes. It is no surprise, then, that of the 17 or so songs that he made ... none of them used any curse words.
Here is our own favorite Doug E. Fresh song and one other favorite:

What happened to "Old School" Hip Hop and Rhythm and Blues? According the news, history, and the media ... it evolved. But that's not true at all. In fact, it didn't change naturally or by itself. It was directed. Intentionally. In to a more hardcore, aggressive, distasteful genre. Why? Simple. Profits.
Some people in the record industry decided to invest in prisons. After they bought them, they thought it was a good idea to push more aggression in to music of People of Color, so that it was raise the probability that crimes would get committed, which, in turn, would swell the ranks in prison ... and give them a good return on their "investment."
When we think about this decision and what it did to the music business and its current negative reputation, we think of one question to ask: "Why didn't you just invest in Churches? Or buy more stocks? Or more real estate? Off all the ideas you could have come up with the grow your wealth, this was the best you could do? Wow! How unimpressive!"
Some people just don't think things through.

So, what is the point?
The point is this: Be a Hate Bandit. Find hatred and steal it ... take it from anyone who has it and don't give it back ... where ever it rears its ugly head ... steal it. And replace it with Anti-Hate. Bring back the Anti-Hate, ya'll!
This recording is an example of an "Anti-Hate Cover Song." This Hip Hop rap recording was done as an illustration of a song that has been re-worked to promote an anti-hate approach to music. This video is an illustration of an Old School song with re-worked lyrics that focus on discouraging hatred. (Note: I do not own the rights to the instrumentals in this song.)
This recording is an example of an Old School traditional song complete with a catchy beat and great lyrics and vocals. The song on which this cover song is based is called "Sweet Home Chicago" and it is featured in the movie, "The Blues Brothers" from 1980.
In the movie, the Blues Brothers are an American blues and soul revue band founded featuring vocalist "Joliet" Jake Blues and his brother, Elwood, who played a harmonica that he carried onstage in a briefcase handcuffed to his wrist.
The characters are played by actors
played by actors Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi.
Let's bring back Old School Music. Let's Make Music Fun Again. There is enough money in entertainment to go around. We don't need to make it toxic just to make more money. There's already enough. People have had enough. Enough is enough.

At the original dance parties .... people danced! How is a party a party without dancing?!? I never understood these modern-day parties. I mean ... we danced! You could see people on the dance floor doing some of just about every thing. Some people were dancing in pairs (most common), others were in gender-specific groups. For example, a group of guys might be dancing together in sync doing back-flips or dances like the "Running Man" or the Roger Rabbit. Or maybe there was a group of ladies dancing amongst themselves who repeatedly said "No" to any man who asked to dance, and kept dancing however they wanted without them. So, if they wanted, you left them alone. There was some of every thing going on right on that dance floor, and none of it was violent or antagonistic. Why? Because that's how we wanted it. People respected the decisions of others.

Old school dance parties also had synchronized dancing. Some people call this "line dancing." Some people don't like it ... and it's certainly not for everybody. But one thing is for sure that when a line dance gets started ... it brings people together. And it's a blast! Today, you can see people doing the Cupid Shuffle, Cotton Eyed Joe, or other modern line dances. But "back in the day" it was the Watootsie, Mashed Potato, Twist, Boogaloo, or the Boney Moroney. Just let the famous entertainer Ray Charles show you how it's done:
Shake Your Tail Feather (Ray Charles)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jK33V7FGjd8

Did I say that out-loud? Oops! Boy the cat is really out of the bag, now! Yes. It's true. We had SLOW DANCING back then. The DJ would play a few slow songs about once an hour during the party. How else were you supposed to get her phone number? You can chat a woman up, yes, but I think it's a little hard convince someone to slide you her number if you can't convince her to let you get closer to her than 2 feet away? But, now? No slow songs? And its messing every thing up. It wasn't broke so whey did we fix it? People need to be near one another, and there was no better way to do that at an old school party than with a slow song!
Oh! We almost forgot to mention: slow dancing is essentially a "long hug" right? Well, research shows that "long hugs" can actually result in better health and ... the science proves it!

Old School Dance was historic! Rythm, Blues, and Dance go all the way back to the good ole' Cotton Clubs of the early 1900s. And love of rhythmic dance stemming from ancient tribal rituals all over the world has continued up through the Hip Hop Break Dancin' movies of the 80s and the 90s.
But our two favorite examples of this long standing tradition that desperately needs to be put back in full effect memorialized the best in the 2003 movie "Honey" and the 2007 movie "Stomp the Yard."

Old School Dance is revered by people all over the world. People of all walks of life have studies long and hard to learn Hip Hop Dance. And some people in other cultures have gone as far as to actually incorporate the dance in to their own Ethnic Dance Style. This powerful "nod" to dance that originated in American should be enough to illustrate the fact that non-violent civilized dance can cross cultural borders, while more toxic forms of dance cannot.

Let's protect the original authenticity of Original Hip Hop Dance. Let's bring back and revitalize the "once ways" of smooth moves, fun, and non-violence.
When ever it is possible, we need to support an "Old School" approach to New School Music. Back in the 80s and the 90s we partied, danced, and turned up the music way too loud. But we still showed respect and we still made it home safely at the end of the night. Fun was fun but it was also also safe. We need to make sure our youth understand this concept when they go in to the studio to produce their music.

Some new artists are starting to revert back to the Old School Hip Hop way of entertaining. Some of these new artists are realizing that the industry has become too toxic. As some of these new artists try to break in to the music business, some of them are finding that the business is not as receptive of the positive stance they are taking with their music.

This new artist hails out of New York city. Autumn Perfect is going about things in an "Old School" manner. And, as illustrated by her musical lyrics, she insists on keeping things positive while still entertaining her audience. Autumn Perfect is doing today what the Old Heads of yesterday used to do ... she is staying positive in the face of adversity and negativity. Introducing Autumn Perfect. Carrie Underwood is an American singer and songwriter who rose to prominence after winning the fourth season of American Idol in 2005. She later returned as a judge beginning during the twenty-third season.
Underwood's single "Inside Your Heaven" (2005) made her the first country artist to debut atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart and the only solo country artist in the 2000s to have a number-one song on the Hot 100 list.
Underwood has used her stardom to promote positivity and a well-wishing spirit to her fans in the Country Music Industry. A perfect example of her positive attitude is displayed in her popular song, below:

Let's put a little "Old School" in New School Music. Let's Make Music Traditional Again. There is enough money in entertainment to go around. We don't need to make it toxic just to make more money. There's already enough. People have had enough. Enough is enough.
When ever it is possible, we also need to support "Respect" in New School Music. Back in the 80s and the 90s the Hip Hop rappers had respect for one another.
Back then the entertainers showed respect. Hip Hop was fun but it was also respectful, and that made it safe. We need to make sure our youth understand this concept. When our youth come of age and decide to try their hand in the music studio, they need to know that the "Original Ganstas" performed with respect and safety for other in mind.

Old School Entertainers like Whodini said "The Freaks Come Out at Night" ... but did they call women the "B" word? No! When LL Cool J said "I'm Bad!" ... did he also say "... and I'm going to shoot up every dam thing!?!" No! He didn't. What's the point, here? It's this: Show some respect, people!

When the younger generation needs to understand how things need to be done, there's no better teacher than the "elders." Take a look at MC Lyte's new Hip Hop song and video as she gives it all up to GOD. She blazed the train in the beginning and she is still blazing the trail. We see you, Lyte!
Singing groups like "The New Respects" have an entirely new twist on modern music. Music has long been about something "new" ... "not yet discovered" ... "unearthed." But you know what? Nobody ever wanted that! The public likes positivity. Period. Always did. Always will.
Of course people in general prefer the older style of music. Who doesn't prefer good over bad? A five year old knows which one of these approaches to life is better. And if the kids doesn't ... it's due to trauma.
People all over the world would instinctively promote only positive things if there wasn't some adversarial reason or experience that brought them to consider another approach. Positivity. Love. Togetherness. It's like ... well ... Coffee In the Morning.
Sometimes all you need is a little care. The New Respects know it. And they know that when you need a little care, there's no time to worry about your current condition. Just ... come as you are.
Every now and again re all need to be reminded that life is not always about money.
Let's put a little "Respect" in New School Music. Let's Make Music Safe and Respectful Again. There is enough money in entertainment to go around. We don't need to make it disrespectful just to make more money. There's already enough. People have had enough. Enough is enough.
Times are hard. Things are rough. And that's when all of us really need God's Grace. Songs that have proven to be popular are the best way to get God's word out. Re-releasing songs with God-Based Lyrics is a quick way to appeal to the masses while also educating them in a fun and musical way about God. Also, producing music that has a Hip Hop feel but with a Godly Approach can also assist in steering all of us away from darkness.

Bobbi Storm learned how to sing by listening to her babysitter play the flute. The babysitter noticed that Bobbi had a unique voice, and sat down with her family and said, "I think you guys have something here." So, her grandfather started pushing her to sing ... literally, anywhere. He didn't care who was around. Family reunions, church, whatever, he would just push her. The rest is history. Listen below to Bobbi Storm's "re-make for God" version of a classic throwback from 1982:

In high school, Bri Babineaux excelled in basketball and volleyball. In college, she studied criminal justice and had her sights set on becoming a lawyer. However, in the fall of 2014, a moment of destiny unfolded. A video of her singing a cover for Tonex’s “Make Me Over Again" went viral on YouTube. She caught the eye of top R&B producers and they offered her a major record deal, but, Bri was determined to sing for God. In 2015, Bri signed a deal with Tyscot Records and started up her journey as a solo Gospel artist. In 2018, Bri met and married her husband, Keeslon Fontenot. We just love her energy!

Sometimes talent is as rare as God himself. But one thing is for sure ... God is color blind and his disciples come in all shapes, colors, and sizes.
A few decades ago, Eminem took the Hip Hop rap world by storm by gaining the respect of many even though he was White. DJ Fuze gained respect all over the world as the DJ for the Hip Hop sensation, Digital Underground, even though he was White. So it should come as no surprise that "Rare of Breed" is yet another one sent by God.
Enjoy his flow, everybody!

Some entertainers are not only propping up God in their entertainment careers ... they are also shedding light on the widespread use of Witchcraft in the entertainment industry ... and condemning it.
For those of us who enjoy movies, concerts, sporting events, and amusement parks: We don't need, require, expect, accept, or like a connection between that which we enjoy, and Evil which we vehemently condemn. Most normal, law-abiding citizens would agree with this statement.
So, it should come as no surprise that some artists have taken things a step further then simply deciding to go the Church themselves or to make music about God.
Isaiah Robin is one such artist. Apparently, shining the light on Evil in this aggressive manner works well for some people, who seem to need a more "out there and upfront" expose' on the subject before they start to move away from it.
One viewer of Isaiah's Hip Hop Christian-infused music video wrote the following in the comments: "Ever since my 25-year-old son started listening to this song, he stopped listening to those other rap sons, and now he is a guy who talks about God."

Let's promote Musical Re-Releases with God-Infused Lyrics. Let's Make Music Good Again. There is enough money in entertainment to go around. We don't need to make it all about Satan just to make more money. There's already enough. People have had enough. Enough is enough.

We need to bring back Old School Hip Hop and Rap. It was filled to the brim with respect for others, hope for the future, and educational lyrics that you could let share with your 10 year old child without worrying about what they will hear.
Original Hip Hop and Rap was brought about by the likes of the Sugarhill Gang and continued through pioneers like Run DMC, MC Lyte, Salt 'n Pepa, LL Cool J, and Kook Moe Dee. Not one single artist in these times ever used a single curse word, never called a woman the "B-word" in a song, and never verbally and disrespectfully attacked the police.
Original hip hop was not explicit and it should have never become explicit! Original Hip Hop artists' did Hip Hop because they enjoyed it, not because they wanted to send a message for all of their listeners to go out and commit crimes, disrespect women, and disrespect authority.

And if the two people who fought saw each other at the next local cookout, one of them might say to the other one: "Hey, please don't talk about my sister, anymore, OK? Let me get you a hot dog."
Every body at the cookout knew what happened, knew who won, knew who lost, and no body said nothin' ... carry on, peeps!

Old School Hip Hop and Rap promoted respect for others; people made sure everybody had a ride home.
(In some African countries, people sleep at the party venue until the morning time, to avoid driving home intoxicated.)
Back in the Old School days, people watched out for each other. And it showed in how friends and family entertained themselves.

Old School Hip Hop and Rap is the reason why Hip Hop grew in to a World Wide Phenomena. These artists and their songs allowed their audience to enjoy the flow, learn from the respect that they had for themselves and others, and cheer them on as they functioned as positive leaders in the community.
In the Bible, it is clear that the Hebrews were encouraged to rule themselves, and these entertainers went a long way in helping with the goal of Self-Rule by teaching instructional lessons in their community with poems attached to music.
From the Bible (Deuteronomy 17:14–15):
“When you come to the land that the Lord your God is giving you, and you say, ‘I will set a King over me, like all the nations that are around me,’ you may indeed set a King over you whom the Lord your God will choose. One from among your brothers you shall set as King over you; you may not put a foreigner over you, who is not your brother.”

There is a rising trend of up-and-coming rappers that are putting the "G" in Old School even while putting out New School Music. What does the "G" stand for? It stands for God. What is God School Music? It is a concept that encompasses entertainers who are choosing Hip Hop beats and rhythms and adding Christian verses as the lyrics.
Let us introduce you to a new and upcoming Christian Rapper: Dee-1. Dee -1 is an American rapper, author, college professor, activist, and public speaker from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Dee-1 grew his musical career up until he was just about to sign a contract with a major music label. Then ... the unthinkable happened ... they asked him to agree to legally leave "God" out of all of his lyrics as a part of the deal. He refused, and left.

Dee-1 went fully independent in 2019. He has released 11 studio albums. According to him: “If there’s no resistance, then chances are you aren’t fighting the right fight.” Dee-1 is the 2022-2023 Nasir Jones Hip-hop Fellow at Harvard University's Hip Hop Archive & Research Institute (housed within the Hutchins Center for African and African American Research).

Here, Dee-1 talks about being crushed not only because his friend was murdered in Louisiana, but also because he came face-to-face with his own death when someone put a gun to his head during a robbery attempt. Dee-1 said that for him that was "rock bottom" ... after that ... he rose like a Phoenix ... and from that point on he wanted to be a leader.

Dee-1 did in fact rise like a Phoenix. As a matter of fact, he said he made more money deciding to be a leader and make a song about paying off his Student Loans than he did when he received his record label bonus money. Dee-1 is not only a God-Based Hip Hop rapper, he is also known for his social and educational work.
Dee-1 was appointed by his home state's governor, John Bel Edwards, to the lead the Louisiana Council for the Success of Black Men and Boys in 2021. He is also a 2022-2023 Nasir Jones Hip Hop fellow at Harvard University. And in 2024, Dee-1 began teaching a self-designed course at Tufts University: "The Intersection of Hip Hop and Social Change."

Here is some of his greatest music.

Dee-1 created the Platinum Pledge: a pledge intended to unify people who vow not to create, support, or promote music with harmful lyrics.
